Parent / Daughter, Volunteer & Alumnae Weekends
Details:
It’s A “Timber Takedown For Tons Of Our Terminated Trees”
Join us on Friday Night, and/or just Saturday, when we
tackle tons of dead and dangerous trees at Mt. Gilead Camp.
Dad’s your welcome to come alone, or bring your daughter(s), and immerse yourself in a weekend of meaningful volunteer work, fresh air, and like-minded community with other Dads. Skilled chainsaw operators will handle the tree felling, while everyone can pitch in with needed work, like:
Lifting Logs into Trucks & Moving Limbs
Stacking or Splitting Wood
Chipping Wood
Bring your own equipment if you can, or use the tools we provide. No experience needed—just a heart for teamwork and a desire to make a difference at Mt. Gilead Camp!
Our Registration Form will ask you everything we need regarding your skills, schedule, and accommodations.
Save the Date: April 10 & 11 (or just the 11th)
Location: Mt. Gilead Camp (www.mtgileadcamp.org)
Come for the trees, stay for the community!
We all want to spend more time with our children, and more importantly, we all need to. Day in and day out, there is an ever-growing list of things that interfere with the valuable quality time that we know we need to be investing in our kids. Between a child’s weekly extracurricular activities and a parent’s busy work and home life, finding time to get away with our children is more crucial now than ever before. Our focus at Mt. Gilead is to help strengthen the core values that girls need to develop as they grow up in today’s society, there is nothing more crucial to a young women’s growth than spending one-on-one time with their greatest mentors, their Mom and their Dad.
