Our counselors come alongside campers to listen, mentor and model what it looks like to passionately follow Jesus Christ. These authentic relationships, set in the unique and fun context of camp, creates an environment ripe for life-changing experiences.

Mt. Gilead hires an all-female staff to run its summer camp program. Most of our summer camp staff are former campers, and 80%+ of our annual summer staff are returning employees.

Female Summer Camp Director(s) (June 13 – August 6 + Potential Year-Round Full Time Salary + Housing):
We hire Summer Camp Directors, Assistant Directors + Divisional Directors who oversee all of the operations of camp under guidance of the Executive Director. These are our highest paid positions, and we typically hire late college to post college aged women for these positions. Married women with families can also qualify for these positions. All positions lead to possible year-round employment with our retreat center and summer camp, which can turn this job into a career. Housing and utilities are provided year-round, with even more wiggle room to have a second job if desired (such as teaching).

Female Summer Camp Counselors (Full-time Summer | June 13 – August 3):
Mentor girls ages 6 – 16 while teaching archery, riflery, swimming, high ropes, horseback riding or leading trips like camping, hiking or canoeing … and so much more!
Summer Counselor positions are for Female High School Graduates & College Students who will have completed their senior year of high school this Spring (or older). All counselors receive a very competitive summer camp salary, daily and weekly time-off and free Red Cross Lifeguard Certification if desired.

Female Summer Camp Activities Coordinator (Full-time Summer | June 13 – August 3):
Do you love working on your feet and are you an organized person? The Activity Coordinator serves on the camp leadership team and oversees all daily scheduling for both counselors and campers. Summer Activities Coordinator positions are for Female College Students who have completed their freshman year in Spring of 2023 (or older).
