Specialty weeks are designed for campers who are ready to dive straight into the activities that interest them most. Girls participating in these programs will not choose daily activities for the camp week. Most of their time will be spent doing specialized activities pertaining to the program they have chosen.
Camper must be entering 6th or 7th grade.
Minimal riding experience necessary
Please pack long pants, and boots or shoes with a small heel.
Pre-registration and payment is required.
Campers must complete a questionnaire about their experience and skills(will be mailed to you upon registration for camp), acceptance into program will be granted after questionnaire has been completed and submitted.

Equestrian I & II
A Mt. Gilead classic! The Equestrian Quest program is for the avid horse lover, and fills up fast! We’ve expanded the program for two weeks of “E.Q.,” based on campers’ riding levels. Live, breathe and sleep horses for a whole week, while learning all there is to know about caring for, riding and loving a horse!
Campers have several hours of English-style riding instruction per day, and build skills in riding, jumping, trail riding, horse care and stable management. On Saturday morning, Equestrian Quest campers participate in a horse show from 10:00-11:00. Everyone is invited to the show!
Priority registration is given until April 30 to girls who have not participated in Equestrian Quest during the past two summers. After May 1st, all remaining applications will be processed in the order they were received.
