Join Our Staff
Summer 2008 Staff
If you are a devoted Christian woman who enjoys the outdoors,
working with youth, and would like to grow in your own walk
with Christ this summer, then please consider becoming a part
of the Mt. Gilead Summer Camp staff!
The most effective way to reach young women in our society is
to be a living example. In a world that would like them
to believe that image is everything and peer pressure is paramount,
we look to offer the truth that Christ is everything and obedience
to His Word is paramount. In a world where faith is undermined,
hope is hard to hold to, and "love" is seldom true, we seek
to live the reality that all three are more than just words,
do exist, and can be found abundantly in a relationship with
God. Through our day-in and day-out living, from meals
to activities to devotions, from the way we treat one another
to the way we dress, we have a unique opportunity: to show that
Christ, and everything He is, is real!
If you have a heart for the Word, and a desire to serve God
with your whole heart, mind, and soul in a ministry that reaches
girls of all ages, then we hope you will apply and join us
this summer!

Summer Staff Support Program
If God leads you to become a staff member at Mt. Gilead this
summer, you will also have the opportunity to participate in
our new financial assistance program. We understand that
serving at camp almost always means financial sacrifices, since
any of our summer staff could make more money working at a number
of higher-paying jobs available to them. We are fortunate,
however, that each camping season, eternity-minded individuals
choose to serve at camp anyway, graciously accepting the stipend
we offer in order to be part of something bigger: the summer
camp mission field. However, financial obligations still
exist, and so to help our staff meet their financial needs,
we have created the Summer Staff Support Program (SSSP).
Participants are encouraged to seek people - friends, neighbors,
coaches, teachers, family - who might consider making a monetary,
tax-deductible gift to Mt. Gilead to supplement the staff pay
stipend. Each participating summer staff member will receive
ten SSSP flyers and cover letters for this purpose. Monies
received will be pooled and distributed at the end of the summer
to those staff members who have participated. Copies of
the SSSP flyer and letter are available for download below if
you would like more information.
When you receive your contract in the mail (concluding the Summer
Staff Application process) to be signed and returned, indicate
on the line provided your interest in this program, and the
flyers and letters will be mailed to you. Alternatively,
you may download and print the flyers and letters below, after
you have received your contract in the mail (concluding the
Summer Staff Application process), and signed and returned it,
having made indication on the line provided of your interest
in SSSP and that you will download and print the flyers and
letters from the website.
