The Beverly Hillbillies did Sunday night's Vespers service in the Rec Hall for our fifth and last group of campers.  They were played by "Mr. Otus" (Buckey), "D.W." (Joanna), "Otus" (Shelley), "Lexi" (Tyffany), "Nix" (Ginny), and "Phoebe" (Brittany).  "Spree" (Deb) narrates.

The "Clampetts" watch as the Beverly girls come strolling through.

"Spree" and the Beverly residents discuss how the Clampett's lifestyle change from rags to riches is like the heart and life change that takes place when we believe in Jesus for salvation.

"Flame" (Melissa) and "Keeter" (Lauren) sing a special in the dining hall (a "special" is when staff members are selected by campers to write and sing a song at a meal).  Their song was about the three Searcher counselors (themselves plus "Hailey"--me) and what they're known for at camp this summer.  They happened to be singing my verse in this picture.

My cabin (Algonquin) making raspberry applesauce during Cabin Time on Tuesday afternoon.  We picked the raspberries ourselves!  The girls wanted to make it (and a raspberry smoothie too) as a treat for "Cassie" (Shelley), the Observer/Conqueror D.D., whose jaw is locked up.  The girls left it at her place at dinner with a straw and an annonymous get well note.
(Chelsea, Katie, Carleigh, and Elisabeth.)

The view from my hiding spot under the ferns during Tuesday night's Counselor Hunt.  We all chose a point value and the camper teams won based on how many points they racked up by finding us.  The Director was worth 1,000,000,000.  I was only worth 10532.

Everyone gathers for an all-camp campfire about Ruth Tuesday night.

In the parking lot at the Mt. Pocono State Park during the all camp hike on Wednesday.  We were waiting for everyone to gather and some of us found the sign quite humorous.

Our Hill.  It leads from the main area of camp to the cabins, Rec Field, and ranges.
That's the showerhouse at the top.

The girls in my cabin create obstacle course races for each other during cabin Bible Exploration on Wednesday.
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize."  (1 Corinthians 9:24)
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."  (Hebrews 12:1)

Each morning we hold a Flag Raising, conducted by a guard of five of our oldest campers.  This one took place Thursday morning.

The Colorguard retreats after raising the flag.

Big Bad Division Directors "Snipe" (Christy) and "Cassie" (Shelley).

My cabin poses on Friday afternoon: (clockwise from top) me, Chelsea, Carleigh, Elisabeth, Katie.

Letting loose!

Friday night's all-camp evening activity involved the whole camp being split into six groups and going around to various challenge stations.  This one involved drawing with whipped cream on a pie plate, and then... J  Ashlee models her new look!

Katie braves the "Drink of Doom" blender challenge.  I had the pleasure of helping to create The Drink: coffee, pudding, sprinkles, graham crackers, lemon juice, lettuce, tomatoes, tomato soup, garlic, paprika, scalloped potatoes, red food coloring, blue food coloring, chocolate sauce, onions, stuffing, peanut butter, raisins, vanilla, french vanilla drink mix, and one other thing I can't remember anymore. J

Friday night saw the last campfire of the summer.  "Cassie" and "Andi Webby D" (Deb) remind us of Christ's sacrifice for us.

Monday evening's sky.

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.  Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.  There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.  Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."  (Psalm 19:1-4)
