My cabin: (clockwise) me, Annika, Kelsey, Sarah, Emily, and Colleen.

>Monday's cabin Bible lesson involved stepping barefooted in peas, water, cheesy broccoli, mashed potatoes, and mud!  We voted on which was "best" and then talked about how even though some choices in life are a matter of personal preference (such as the fact that some of my friends might say stepping in peas is the only thing they're good for J), other choices are a matter of what God says is right and wrong--and we need to choose what's right.

The broccoli and cheese selection.  Yuuuuuuum.

Sarah discovers that smashed peas underfoot are most conducive to spinning in circles.

Bravery: Standing in all five "ingredients" mixed together!

The Verdict: the peas won. J

Severe thunderstorms in the Poconos Tuesday night found us stuck in our cabins for the evening, but the Searcher Division wasn't about to let that keep us from having fun or being together. All four cabins squashed into Mohawk Cabin to sing!  We even managed "Thy Mercy," a new one, with no words or music to help us out--quite well, actually!

In keeping with the "Great Expectations" theme, on each cabin was given a "When I Grow Up" occupation, and they had to dress their counselor up to look like someone with that job.  I was a plumber from the year 2005.  We decided the biggest change from now until then would be the invention of laser-powered plungers--you can see me brandishing mine.
